Aprendiendo inglés con un grande: Steve Jobs

 

En este video podrás escuchar el discurso realizado por Steve en la Universidad de Stanford, en sus palabras se puede ver que como todo ser brillante, la humildad y la grandeza son parte de su naturaleza. He recopilado algunas frases que ha dicho Steve durante su vida, aprendamos inglés con ellas y también aprendamos a ver la vida de un modo diferente.

“I was worth over $1,000,000 when I was 23, and over $10,000,000 when I was 24, and over $100,000,000 when I was 25, and it wasn’t that important because I never did it for the money.”

Esta frase es muy simple, solo voy a ayudarte con la palabra worth (valer), el resto te lo dejo a tí.

“Almost everything–all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure–these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.”

Esta frase es muy alentadora, te ayudo con las palabras; pride (orgullo), failure (fracaso).

«No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new.«
